CHARLOTTE, NC — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting in north Charlotte on Friday.
The shooting happened just before 3 p.m. near the intersection of Lasalle Street and Newland Road. CMPD says no officers were injured during the incident. At this time it is unknown if anyone else is injured.
The public is asked to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
