CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A Charlotte–Mecklenburg Police officer was injured while responding to a call in north Charlotte. At 10:34am on August 11th, CMPD officers responded to a suspicious person call on Robinson Circle near North Tryon Street. The caller reported that there were individuals attempting to steal copper wire from this location.
Officer encountered four suspects at the scene. One of the suspects attempted to flee in a vehicle, injuring an officer. The officer was treated for non-life threatening injuries and later discharged.
All four suspects were taken into custody. The investigation remains ongoing.
