STATESVILLE, N.C. — Investigators say they arrested a convicted sex offender after he failed to notify authorities that he had moved.
Deputies attempted to locate and verify Christopher Balentine’s address in December 2016 but realized he was no longer living in the home he had registered with authorities.
Balentine was located on April 17th and arrested for failure to notify change of address. He was given a $5,000 secured bond.
Prior convictions include: five counts of 2nd degree rape, three counts of indecent liberties with a child and driving while impaired.
