WCCB News @ 10 Anchor
Will joined the WCCB news team in 2014 to anchor and report for WCCB News @ Ten.
Before moving to Charlotte, Will anchored the weekend news, the weekday morning show, weekday evening news and even the sports (sometimes all in the same day!) for the ABC affiliate in Pensacola, Florida.
He also filed reports on government accountability with the station’s “Waste Watch” report.
He spent eight years at WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Alabama. It was there that he made the move from sports to news, serving as the sports director before getting up way too early to co-anchor the station’s morning news.
Before that, Will was the sports director at KTEN in Texas, working along side WCCB’s Ashley Anderson in the wild west.
Will studied at the University of Texas in Austin and the University of West Florida. He took a break from television to teach social studies to special needs students for three years at a Florida middle school. That experience left him with a new understanding and appreciation for our educators, and a soft spot for stories that impact our children.
Will is a native Texan, and loves living in the South. He’s an avid sports fan looking forward to taking advantage of all the great events Charlotte has to offer.
When not spending time with wife Lisa, and children Liam and Anna, he enjoys playing golf and basketball.
Will also spends countless hours volunteering with youth sports organizations, and working with local charities.
