NCDOT: Expect Heavy Traffic For Saturday’s All-Star Race
CONCORD, NC — Thousands of race fans are heading to Charlotte-Motor Speedway this weekend, and the NCDOT is warning drivers to be prepared.
Officials say heavy traffic is expected around I-85 and Bruton Smith Boulevard. Highway Patrol and local law enforcement will be helping traffic flow, but NCDOT still says it could take around two to three hours to get everyone in and out of the event this weekend.
Other areas expected to see heavy congestion are US 29 and Highway 49 around the Harrisburg area. The All-Star race will begin at 8pm.
