Suspicious Drug Activity Call Leads To 3 Hickory Arrests
HICKORY, NC — Police have arrested three suspects after someone reported suspicious drug activity at a home on 11th Street NW.
Police say the call came in around 11:15am Thursday. Officers pulled a vehicle leaving the home when they arrived, and say the driver, Joseph Choate, ran back into the house.
According to reports, two other suspects with outstanding warrants came out of the house while police were commanding Choate to exit. Officers say they eventually entered the home and found Choate hiding in the bedroom.
Joseph Choate, 35, was charged with Resisting Public Officer and served additional outstanding warrants for Parole Violation on a previous charge of Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell Delivery Methamphetamine and Driving while License Revoked.
Desiree Icard, 21, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear on a Resisting Public Officer charge.
Ricky Lee, 27, was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Iredell County including Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture Schedule 2 and Sell Controlled Substance Schedule 2.
