Wilson’s World: Previewing the 2017 Lace Up Son Family 5K
The Steve Smith Family Foundation's Lace Up Son Family 5K for 2017 held Monday, May 29th at Stumptown Park in Matthews
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – There is always a lot of fun on Wilson’s World, but today was one of those extra fun days. He was at Charlotte Running Company where he was talking about the upcoming Steve Smith Family Foundation’s Lace Up Son Family 5K on Memorial Day.
Wilson’s friend Steve Smith, Sr., aka Agent89, stopped in to talk with Wilson about the Lace Up Son Family 5K and the Steve Smith Family Foundation. The 5K has become a Memorial Day tradition for the Foundation.
Wilson was also joined by some other guests. Jen Dodson with the YMCA discussed the importance of preparing for and participating in a 5k. John Falkenberry of USO of NC talked about their partnership with the Family Foundation as well as their connection with the races at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Josh Rainey with the Junkluggers explained just how they work to help people recycle while helping their community. Scott Wooten of the 704 Shop showed off one of their newest items, the Agent 89 shirt which will be available at the 5k.
