Rock Hill Man Arrested On Animal Cruelty Charges

Rock Hill, SC — On Monday, police say they responded to a animal cruelty call on Frank St. in Rock Hill.

Upon arrival officers could reportedly hear a strange knocking in the rear of the residence.

After investigating the noise police noticed a Rottweiler emerge from a wooden box, officers say the severely emaciated black dog had flies covering it’s face and were actively eating away at a facial laceration.

Authorities claimed the dog had difficulty walking and the water provided in the immediate area was unsanitary and dark in color.

Officers also located other neglected dogs on the property then observed further instances of animal cruelty in the yard of the residence.

During the encounter with the dogs, authorities said they could smell an overpowering odor of feces and decay. Officers also observed an overpowering amount of flies swarming the area.

The owner of the dogs, Samuel Wilson, 46, was placed under arrest and Animal Control took possession and seized all dogs.
