No Major Changes Yet Before The May 24th Vote On Student Assignment
CHARLOTTE, NC — In one week officials with vote on the controversial student assignment plan for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, and there still have not been any major changes.
There have been complaints and counter proposals from several parent groups regarding the plan, but no major changes came out of Tuesday’s CMS board work session.
Wednesday night, Superintendent Ann Clark and Board Chair Mary McCray took part in a panel discussion at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in northwest Charlotte. At the discussion, community members had the opportunity to ask questions about several issues CMS is facing.
