Wilson’s World: It’s Tools, Tools and More Tools at the Charlotte Community Tool Bank
The Charlotte Community Tool Bank will hold their first "Tool Rush" this Saturday from 7am until noon.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After doing a little cleaning, Wilson’s inner home shopping show host came out today while he was visiting the Charlotte Community Toolbank to preview their upcoming “tool rush.”
Normally the Toolbank loans out tools to local non-profits, but this weekend, they open up their doors to the public to purchase new and gently used tools that have been donated especially for their “tool rush.” The sale will include cleaning supplies, power tools, garden tools and much, much more. Doors will open at 7am and the sale will run until noon.
The Charlotte Community ToolBank is a nonprofit tool lending program that provides charitable organizations with year-round access to an inventory of tools for use in volunteer projects, facility and grounds maintenance as well as special events. They offer more than 235 different types of tools and equipment from simple screwdrivers to power tools and even generators.
Charitable organizations can find out more about the Charlotte Community ToolBank at charlotte.toolbank.org. They are located at 2513 South Tryon Street in Charlotte.
Be sure to stop by Wilson’s family friendly “dude market” Dudeapalooza on Saturday, June 3rd. Charlotte Community ToolBank as well as Classroom Central will benefit from proceeds from the event. Check out Dudeapoalooza on Twitter @Dudepalooza.
