Governor Cooper Expresses Optimism For State During UNCC Visit
CHARLOTTE, NC — During a visit to UNCC Wednesday, Governor Roy Cooper shared an optimistic view for the state’s economy following the repeal of HB2.
The governor was in town highlighting his new ‘North Carolina Invents’ program. The program is aimed at helping universities across the state develop new technologies.
Governor Cooper said he expects many more events and businesses to begin returning to the state following the repeal.
The Governor also highlighted the continued need to fight discrimination in our community if we want to continue moving in a positive direction, both economically and socially.
