Wilson’s World: Getting Red Cross Ready at Lowe’s

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The American Red Cross wants everyone to be prepared for any disaster that may hit you and your family during the unpredictable spring weather season.  Wilson was at the Lowe’s on South Blvd with Pam Brynarsky and Angela Broome of the Red Cross and Star O’Neal with Lowe’s to discuss some of the important things to remember when preparing for an emergency.

Woody Williams with the Red Cross and Wilson grabbed a buggy and their list then hit the aisles at Lowe’s to get “Red Cross ready” for a disaster.  The American Red Cross offers tips on how to be “Red Cross ready” as well as a list of essential supplies that are needed to prepare a disaster survival kit.  To obtain more information and the list for the survival kit, check out the weblink HERE.

We were also reminded that we should not forget our four legged friends.  Whether our pets are inside or outside, they are a very important part of our family and we should prepare for them as well.

Also, you can download the American Red Cross Emergency app to receive emergency alerts and information about what to do in case of tornadoes, flooding and other disasters, as well as locations of shelters.  You can also get first aid information on the app. Find out more about the app HERE.
