VP Mike Pence Follows The “Billy Graham Rule”
Billy Graham came up with the rule in the late 1940’s, to keep him and his staff out of any suspicious situations as they traveled the country. Since the time that rule was created, the Charlotte-born evangelist says he did not travel, meet or eat alone with a woman other than his wife Ruth, who passed away in 2007. So what does this rule have to do with Vice President Mike Pence?
A recent Washington Post profile on Karen Pence cited an interview the Vice President did in 2002 with The Hill. Pence said he never ate alone with a woman other than his wife, and he didn’t attend events where alcohol would be served without Karen.
