House Republicans Pull Health Care Bill

House Republicans abandoned their legislation to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act Friday when it became clear they wouldn’t get the votes. Instead of repealing the law Republicans fought against for seven years, House Speaker Paul Ryan now says Obamacare is the law of the land for the foreseeable future. The decision to pull The American Health Care Act came less than 24 hours after President Trump issued an ultimatum to House Republicans to move forward with the vote.
