Wilson’s World: Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at Galway Hooker Pub

CORNELIUS, N.C. – When Wilson celebrates St. Patrick’s Day, he really celebrates…and what better way to celebrate than at an actual Irish pub…Galway Hooker Pub in Cornelius.

The party officially starts at noon, but the Irish and the Irish at heart were celebrating as soon as Wilson walked in the door.  At 8am they kicked it off with a real Irish breakfast of kegs and eggs and Irish dancing with members of the Connick School of Irish Dance, bagpippers and much, much more.

The biggest party kicks off at 11am inside and goes outside at noon with bands, street food, games and raffles…they take up the entire outside area in front of the pub.  Get all of the info on the St. Paddy’s fun at Galway HERE.

Not only will customers celebrate St. Patrick’s Day but they will also be helping to raise funds and awareness for the American Patriot Fund, an organization that provides funding for medical treatment for veterans with PTSD.

Members of Autism After 18 joined Wilson to talk about their cause.  They will be joining Wilson at the St. Patrick’s Day parade tomorrow in Uptown Charlotte.

Galway Hooker Pub was originally built in Ireland but was deconstructed, piece by piece and rebuilt at its current location in Cornelius.  Named for Galway Bay just off of the west coast of Ireland, Galway Hooker offers authentic Irish food and drink.
