Six Arrested Following Union County Drug Investigation

UNION COUNTY, NC — Deputies arrested and charged six suspects after witnessing an apparent drug deal in Wesley Chapel Thursday night.

According to a release, the six suspects were traveling in two separate vehicles. Investigators say they witnessed a drug deal take place between the suspects, and pulled both vehicles after the deal concluded.

When detectives searched the vehicles, they say they found over 27 grams of heroin, a quantity of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

All six suspects now face multiple felony charges. See a full list of the suspects and their charges below:

Zayne Michael-Shayne Cranford, 19, of Monroe, NC charged with Conspiracy to Traffic in Heroin, Maintaining a Drug Vehicle, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Jamie Renee Elliott, 26, of Monroe, NC charged with Possession of Marijuana up to ½ ounce and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Hugh Brian Roberts, 20, of  Charlotte, NC charged with Trafficking Heroin by Possession, Trafficking Heroin by Transportation, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Joshua Paul Hudson, 32, of  Monroe, NC charged with Felony Possession of Heroin, Possession of Marijuana up to 1/2 ounce, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Matthew Henry Rape, 34, of Monroe, NC charged with Felony Possession of Heroin, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Michael Patrick Conroy, 22, of Marvin, NC charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
