Seven Arrested In Week One of Cleveland County’s Operation “Spring Clean 3.0” Drug Round Up

CLEVELAND COUNTY, NC — Since its start on March 6th, operation “Spring Clean 3.0,” the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office’s annual drug round up, has led to the arrest of seven mid to high level dealers.

Officials say the dealers targeted either live in or have visited Cleveland County for the purposes of selling drugs.

“The Sheriff’s Office will continue to make drug investigations a high priority,” says Sheriff Alan Norman. “Statistics have shown for years that drug use leads to other crimes in particular breaking and entering and larcenies where users have to steal to fund their habit. The violence associated with drug dealing is also a huge concern of mine and those dealers who possess guns during drug transaction will be a very high priority.”

The Sheriff’s Office says they will release names of those arrested each Friday until all suspects have been taken into custody.
