Hickory Police Searching For Breaking And Entering Suspect

In two cases, one reported March 8th occurring at the Rosales Qwik Stop located at 2614 N Center Street; and another reported March 11th occurring at the Cubbard Express #2 located at 1922 16th Street NE, the suspect gained entry to the stores by throwing a brick through a glass door. Upon entry, the suspect goes behind the counter and takes multiple packs of cigarettes, cigarillos and cigars. In the Cubbard Express incident, he is seen leaving the scene on a bicycle. The third incident, which was reported on March 9th, occurred at the Cubbard Express #7 located at 954 16th Street NE. The suspect attempted to gain entry but was unsuccessful.Video is attached of the Rosales Qwik Stop incident on March 8th. Hickory Police are looking for anyone with information in reference to these cases or other breaking and enterings occurring in the city during this period. Contact Investigation G. Additionally, business owners should ensure that camera systems are functional and operating effectively, verifying that images being captured are clear and encompassing entry, exits and register areas. It is also suggested to checking lighting in and around the business and to review money-handling procedures. HICKORY, N.C. — The Hickory Police Department is investigating after three closed convenience stores were broken into during the month of March.

Police say in separate incidents at the Rosales Qwik Stop on Center Street and the Cubbard Express #2 on 16th Street, on March 8th and 11th, the suspect threw a brick through the glass door before entering the stores and stealing merchandise.

He is seen leaving the scene of the Cubbard Express #2 crime on a bicycle.

The third incident occurred at the Cubbard Express #7 on 16th street, where the suspect attempted to break and enter the store but was unsuccessful.
