Novant Health House Call: Multiple Sclerosis in Women

CHARLOTTE, NC — It’s not contagious or passed down in the family, but Multiple Sclerosis affects more than 2 million people worldwide.

Many people may not realize that women are diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at least twice as often as men.

In honor of Multiple Sclerosis awareness month – Dr. Matthew Carraro, a Multiple Sclerosis Specialist and Director of Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology at Novant Health, stopped by Rising this morning to explain how else it affects women.
