Dog Found Dead In Rock Hill After Being Left Out In Freezing Temps

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Two people are facing charges in Rock Hill after a dog was found dead after being left out in freezing temperatures.

Police say animal control officers were called to a home on Carolina Avenue Extension on March 14th after someone reported that a dog was deceased in a wire cage in the backyard of the home.

Officers say the dog was in the cage and that the cage was partially filled with rainwater.  Officers believe the dog had been left there overnight with no shelter or warmth and possibly died of exposure.

The two suspects, Chris McCoy and Jervon Williams, have not been officially charged at this time. Police believe they may be out of town.
