CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Wednesday, the Charlotte Independence announced the addition of a preseason game against the North American Soccer League’s Jacksonville Armada to the schedule.
The Independence will host the Armada at UNC Charlotte’s training field, located behind Transamerica Stadium, on Saturday, March 25th at noon. The game is open to the public.
This Saturday, March 18th, at 2:00 pm the Independence will take on Major Leauge Soccer’s Atlanta United FC in the only other remaining preseason game. The game will be hosted in Atlanta, Georgia in a closed session.
The Independence returns to UNC Charlotte the following weekend for their opening game against USL rival, Charleston Battery. The game against the Battery will take place on Saturday, April 1st. Kickoff for that game will be at 7:00 p.m.
