Suspects Charged For South Charlotte Domino’s Armed Robbery

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD has charged two suspects for the armed robbery of a Domino’s Pizza on February 27th.

According to reports, Daekwon Heckstall, 18, and Kashon Johnson, 19, were arrested by Shelby Police Thursday on unrelated charges. The two teens were identified as suspects in the Domino’s investigation and were served warrants by CMPD Friday.

Heckstall and Johnson are both charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and 2nd Degree Kidnapping.

Police say the teens robbed the Domino’s just before 2:30am on February 27. According to reports, they pulled out guns and demanded property from the business as well as personal belonging from victims in the store. Police say they also assaulted one of the victims, causing minor injuries, before taking off.

CMPD says this investigation is ongoing.
