Two Men Charged With Stealing Trailers In Lincoln County
LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — Two men have been charged with stealing trailers in the Denver area, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation began when a five foot by eight foot trailer was stolen from a residence on Burton Lane in Denver on January 30.
Detectives located the trailer at the home of, 41-year-old, Johnny Dwayne Allison of Mt. Pleasant Road in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina.
Authorities retrieved the trailer and returned it to the owners.
Following interview with Allison at the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office jail, where he was being held on unrelated charges, detectives obtained warrants on Allison and Randy Everette Spivey, 43, of Eli Lane, Denver, NC.
During the investigation officers learned the two men had also stolen a trailer from a home under construction on Camp Ground Road, Denver, NC.
Both men were charged with two felony counts each of Larceny and Possession of Stolen Goods. Allison was arrested on March 3, 2017. He was taken before a magistrate and released on a $10,000 secured bond.
Spivey is currently in the custody of the North Carolina Department of Corrections on an unrelated charge and his warrants have not been served.
