Wilson’s World: Striking Out Domestic Violence with the Steve Smith Family Foundation
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Now that former NFL wide receiver Steve Smith, Sr. has retired from football, he can enjoy life a little bit more, as well as spend more time working with the Steve Smith Family Foundation. Today he was put to work having to deal with Wilson while previewing the foundation’s 4th Annual Strike Out Domestic Violence event being held on February 18th.
Wilson and Steve had a lot of fun, but got serious while talking about family and domestic issues that have personally affected Steve, leading him to create the non-profit Steve Smith Family Foundation in 2013. The foundation promotes family health & wellness while bringing awareness and prevention of domestic violence. Besides their work with domestic violence, the foundation also is part of the Smith Family Wellness Center, providing health needs of the disadvantaged.
One of the many events that the foundation holds each year is the Strike Out Domestic Violence bowling event. Again this year, the event will be held at 10 Park Lanes in Charlotte. Guests will have a choice of one of two sessions. Tickets are going fast, so be sure to check out the event as soon as possible HERE.
