Steve Smith Sr. Sends Commissioner Goodell Comical Retirement Letter

Former Panthers’ receiver Steve Smith Sr. is known for his brash statements on and off the field.  In his retirement letter to Commissioner Roger Goodell, Smith Sr. was able to trash talk defensive backs one last time.

Agent 89, as he calls himself, antagonized defensive backs for 1031 receptions and 14,731 yards over the course of his 16 year career.

Still no word on whether Smith Sr. will officially retire as a Carolina Panther, but the NFL has undoubtedly lost one of its fiercest competitors.
