Governor Cooper Asks Citizens To Stay Off Roads During Winter Storm

RALEIGH, NC– New North Carolina Governor Roy cooper is asking people to stay home this weekend.

“Also stay off the road after it ends because the weather will get significantly colder on Saturday night into Sunday,” said Cooper.

Cooper’s official swearing-in happened today in Raleigh. He took the oath of office just after midnight Sunday.

Tomorrow’s inauguration events were postponed because of the storm.
