Five carpool tips for spring

"N Charlotte Toyota safety”Winter break is coming to and end and the holidays are over, which means it’s time for the back to school grind to start up again! Are you ready to get back into your routine? It can be tough after weeks of freedom, so Toyota of N Charlotte is here to help. We’ve got a few carpool tips to get you back up to speed and ensure your mornings are efficient and stress-free!

Use Toyota of N Charlotte tips to stay stress-free this semester

Carpool tip #1: Make sure you know the routine, and that nothing has changed over winter break. This includes who’s in the carpool, the route you’ll use to pick everyone up, and the time schedule. Knowing all of this ahead of time will make life a lot easier when you’re behind the wheel of your N Charlotte Toyota in the morning. Also, know when the holidays are (like spring break) so you can plan accordingly!

Carpool tip #2: Get organized. On top of knowing where you’re going and when, our N Charlotte Toyota dealership recommends packing your car the night before, or at least leaving everything right by the front door so nothing gets forgotten. Also, make sure you have everything you need in your car for smaller passengers – i.e., carseats and booster seats. Ensuring they’re properly installed ahead of time can save you a lot of time in the morning!

Carpool tip #3: Be punctual. Toyota of N Charlotte recommends giving yourself plenty of time in the morning so you can be punctual when picking everyone up. If you’re late, you’ll back up the entire carpool for the rest of the morning! However, if you do find yourself running late, don’t try to speed to make up for it. Speeding leads to collisions and accidents, and that will only slow you down further and put everyone in danger.

Our carpool tips can keep you on track until summer!

Carpool tip #4: Check traffic and weather BEFORE you leave the house. Did you know you can do this from the driver’s seat of your new Toyota near Charlotte? The Entune App Suite offers you real-time traffic and weather (and in some cases, even predictive). Checking this ahead of time will allow you to plot a different route if your normal route is going to be congested or difficult due to weather conditions.

Carpool tip #5: Keep your N Charlotte Toyota clean. No one wants to ride around in a dirty car, and if your vehicle is messy, it makes it easier for things to get lost en route. Keep your vehicle organized and always make sure everything is secured when you’re in motion, so you don’t have school supplies rolling around under your feet.
